3 URI Soccer Players Named To All-New England 3rd Team

Two University of Rhode Island forwards and a goaltender made the team.

KINGSTON, RI — Three Rhode Island soccer players were named to the All-New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association.

Forwards McKenna Sylvester and Lauren MacDonald and goalkeeper Dani Eden made the team, the university said in a media release.

"MacDonald led the Rhody offense this season with 25 points on 10 goals and five assists," the release said.

"Sylvester had a breakout senior season, scoring a career-best eight goals and adding four assists for 20 points," according to the release. "Eden collected 11 shutouts between the posts for the Rams, the most in a single season in program history."
