Find Out When Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds Return To Rhode Island

Ruby-throated hummingbirds are on their way back to Rhode Island after spending the winter in Mexico.

Expect the tiny flyers to arrive in the Ocean State in the first half of May, according to AccuWeather.

"Hummingbird fans rejoice!" AccuWeather said in a social media post. "The ruby-throated hummingbirds are on their way back to the eastern US after spending the winter in Mexico and South America."

Some of the ruby-throated hummingbirds will be merely passing through Rhode Island on their way farther north as they migrate all the way to Canada.
