New Movie 'Rubber Hut' To Start Filming In Rhode Island This Week
Set in Rhode Island circa 1992, the movie is inspired by a true story.
A new movie inspired by actual events in early 1990s Rhode Island starts filming this week.
"Rubber Hut" tells the story of an "entrepreneurial ex-Pan Am flight attendant who opens a drive-thru condom kiosk in her conservative community," the Rhode Island Film & TV Office said in a media release.
"Overnight, she becomes a lightning rod, a hero to local teens and an unlikely threat to the tight-knit world around her," the release said.

Grace Van Patten stars in "Rubber Hut" as Emanuella. The cast also includes Michael Imperioli of "GoodFellas" and "Summer of Sam," and Emmy Rossum of "Shameless."
The Rhode Island Film & TV Office noted that Cranston and Warwick will be included in the production.
