Providence Shut Out In Opening Round Of Hockey East Women’s Tournament
Boston University defeated the Friars 3-0.

BOSTON, MA — Providence was shut out in the opening round of the Hockey East Women’s Tournament, losing to Boston University 3-0.
The Friars kept Boston University off the board in the first period, finishing the frame tied at 0-0, but BU's Sydney Healey scored the deciding goal in the second period.
Healey scored again near the end of the third period. Lilli Welcke put in a goal late in the game as well.

Providence goalie Hope Walinski was outstanding, turning away 28 of 29 shots. Healey and Welcke's late goals were empty netters.
