Providence Wraps Up Hockey Season With Weekend Games Against BU, Northeastern

PROVIDENCE, RI — The Providence College women’s hockey team wraps up its season with weekend games against Boston University and Northeastern University.

The Friars first head to face Boston University Friday for a 6 p.m. matchup at Walter Brown Arena, then return home for a 4 p.m. Saturday game against Northeastern.

Saturday’s contest is Senior Day, with six Friars to be honored prior to puck drop.

Providence enters the weekend with an 11-19-2 overall record and an 8-12-2 mark in Hockey East play following a weekend sweep of Boston College and Holy Cross.

The Friars are tied for eighth place in the Hockey East standings with Boston University while the Terriers hold the tiebreaker after collecting five points in the two previous meetings this season.
