Rhode Island Eatery Opening On Historic Spot
The location will serve food for the first time Friday.
LITTLE COMPTON, RI — A Rhode Island eatery is opening on a historic spot.
"Elsie’s on the Commons will be serving food to the public for the VERY FIRST TIME this Friday at the Little Compton Historical Society’s Tavern Night on the grounds of the Historical Society," posted to social media.
Tavern night will run from 5-8p.m. at 548 West Main Road. Admission is free and all ages can attend.

"Colonial-era crafts and games are also available, some for free, and some for a very modest cost," according to the post. "Live music and free admission to our new exhibit 'Revolutionary Little Compton.'”
Elsie’s food tent will sell clam chowder, stuffed Quohogs and steak and cheese sandwiches, according to the post, and Anita‘s Hot Dog Cart will offer hot dogs and ice cream.
