Rhode Island Under Flood Watch
The flood watch started Monday and is in effect through Tuesday afternoon
Rhode Island is under a flood watch through Tuesday afternoon.
The flood watch remains in effect through 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The flash flooding due to excessive rainfall "may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations," the National Weather Service warned.

The forecast called for heavy rain Monday and Monday night, showers Tuesday and Tuesday night, and a sunny Wednesday.
The low temperature during the rain will be around 60 degrees Monday night and Tuesday night. The high Wednesday will reach 77, according to the National Weather Service.
