Sunny Saturday Turns To Rainy Weekend: Rhode Island Weather

A sunny Saturday turns rainy and wet for the rest of the weekend.

A clear, 57-degree Friday night will be followed by a sunny Saturday with a high near 74, according to the National Weather Service.

There is a chance of rain and thunderstorms overnight Saturday after 2 a.m., with more than a quarter inch of precipitation possible. The Saturday low temperature will be about 64 degrees

The National Weather Service forecast calls for more rain and thunderstorms Sunday.

"Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall," according to the National Weather Service.

The high will reach 77.

Sunday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 60.

The work week starts with a mostly sunny Monday with a high near 75 degrees.
