Watch out for high winds in Rhode Island starting Friday morning.

"Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines," the National Weather Service warned. "Power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles."

The danger starts Friday morning and will continue through Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Rhode Island is also facing a potential coastal storm starting Friday and lasting into early next week.

“Southeastern New England could face the full wrath of a powerful nor'easter or subtropical storm with high winds, rain and coastal flooding,” AccuWeather reported. “A full-blown nor'easter could lead to major travel disruptions due to flooding rain, wind gusts that could trigger power outages and significant coastal flooding.”
