Swastika, Hate Message Found On Barrington HS Study Guide: District
The matter is under investigation by the school administration, resource officer and police, according to the district.
BARRINGTON, RI — A swastika and a hate message were found on a study guide at Barrington High School, a district spokesperson said.
"Barrington High School administrators were made aware of a hateful, hand written message and swastika on top of a single study guide collected in a BHS classroom," district spokesperson Sarah Dell said in an email.
"The markings were not part of the original instructional materials distributed," Dell said.

"School administrators immediately reviewed the matter and began an investigation in coordination with our School Resource Officer, which remains active," according to Dell.
The Barrington Police Department is also investigating, she said.

"Barrington Public Schools condemns antisemitism, racism, and all forms of hate," Dell said. "If the individual responsible is identified, the matter will be addressed in accordance with district policies and applicable laws."
