July 16 6:30pm to 8:30pm  Plein Air Painting Class at historic Gov. Sprague Mansion with Wells Goetzmann, artist/educator

Overview:    Gather with your fellow Rhode Islanders to make art inspired by the beautiful Ocean State! Governor Sprague Mansion, 1351 Cranston St.  Register: 214-558-8731  wellsgoetz@gmail.com

What is Plein Air Painting? Plein air painting is the practice of painting landscapes or subjects directly outdoors, "in the open air," rather than in a studio. Meaning we will be venturing out to the places themselves to paint them. The set up will be the use of standing french easels and masonite boards for your canvas. My hope with these workshops and classes is to bring folks together and connect through intentional art making inspired by our surrounding community!
