80-Year-Old North Kingstown Man Killed In East Greenwich Motorcycle Crash: Cops

EAST GREENWICH, RI — An 80-year-old North Kingstown man was killed in an East Greenwich motorcycle crash Thursday, police said.

William Eldred was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, the East Greenwich Police Department said in a media release.

Eldred was operating a motorcycle that collided with a passenger vehicle in the area of Frenchtown Road at the Park and Ride about 7:40 p.m., according to the release.

"The operator of the passenger vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation," the release said.
