East Greenwich: Frenchtown Road Bridge Lanes Shift Friday Over Route 4

RIDOT will change the temporary traffic pattern on the Frenchtown Road Bridge over Route 4 beginning Friday night.

EAST GREENWICH, RI β€” The Rhode Island Department of Transportation will implement a change in the temporary traffic pattern on the Frenchtown Road Bridge over Route 4, starting Friday night. This adjustment is part of an ongoing project to replace the structurally deficient bridge.

The current lane reduction on the bridge, from two lanes to one in each direction, will continue. This shift marks the completion of the first phase, which involved replacing the eastbound portion of the bridge. Traffic will now move onto this new section, allowing RIDOT to begin demolition and replacement of the westbound side.
