East Greenwich Named Rhode Island’s Most Stressful ZIP Code For Parents

EAST GREENWICH, RI — A recent survey revealed East Greenwich is the most stressful ZIP code for parents.

"Parenting has never exactly been a low-stress hobby, but in some parts of America, the daily juggle feels less like family life and more like a full-contact sport," according to a media release accompanying the results of the survey conducted by Mental Health Treatment Centers A Mission for Michael.

"Between daycare bills, school pressures, high grocery prices, work commutes, screen-time battles, sleep deprivation, and the quiet panic of trying to hold everything together, parents in certain areas may be feeling the squeeze more than others," the release said.

A Mission for Michael determined the 02818 was Rhode Island's most stressful.

"Many parents move to East Greenwich specifically for its highly regarded schools and family-friendly atmosphere," the release said.

"Once there, they often find themselves balancing packed schedules filled with school activities, sports programs, and enrichment opportunities," according to the release. "The pressure frequently comes from wanting to make the most of everything available to their children. East Greenwich is regularly home to some of the highest-ranked public schools in Rhode Island."

East Greenwich ranked No. 77 nationally.
