North Kingstown Man Charged With DUI After Hit-And-Run Crash: Cops

The North Kingstown man was also charged with reckless driving, police said.

JAMESTOWN, RI — A North Kingstown man was charged with driving under the influence after a hit-and-run crash in Jamestown, police said.

Charles Dorsey, 43, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Saturday following the crash on Route 138, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Dorsey was also charged with refusing to submit to a chemical test, duty to stop for an accident resulting in damage to a vehicle and reckless driving, according to the release.

Dorsey was processed at the Wickford Barracks and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men's Intake Facility as a probation violator, the release said.
