Johnston Man Wanted On Conspiracy And Shoplifting Charges Captured: Cops

The Johnston woman was arrested by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force, police said.

JOHNSTON, RI — A Johnston woman wanted on conspiracy and shoplifting charges was captured, police said.

Carissa Manning, 31, was arrested about 8:30 a.m. Friday by the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force, the state police said in a media release.

Manning was arrested on a warrant charging her with felony shoplifting and felony conspiracy, according to the release.

"Ms. Manning was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Cranston Police Department," the release said.

The day before Manning was taken into custody, a man living steps away from her on Forand Circle who was also wanted on charges of conspiracy and shoplifting was arrested by the violent fugitive task force, according to a media release.

As with Manning, Nickoli Torrico, 44, who was also wanted on a charge of violating a no contact order, Torrico was "taken into custody without incident and transported to the Cranston Police Department," the release said.
