Johnston Woman Charged With Hit-And-Run Crash: Cops

JOHNSTON, RI — A Johnston woman was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, police said.

Westeenah Emile, age 22, was arrested about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of duty to stop for accident resulting in damage to attended vehicle, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Emile was arrested in connection with an accident on Interstate 295 in Johnson, according to the release.

Troopers later located Emile on Hartford Avenue in Johnston, the release said.

Emile was processed at state police headquarters, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a court date, according to police.
