Pawtucket Man Arrested On Several Gun Charges: Cops

NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI — A Pawtucket man was arrested on several gun charges during an early Sunday traffic stop in North Providence, police said.

Jovante Palin, 29, was charged with license or permit required for carrying a pistol, alteration of marks of identification on firearms, carrying a weapon while under the influence of liquor or drugs, large capacity feeding devices prohibited, driving under the influence of liquor and refusal to submit to a chemical test, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Palin was pulled over and arrested on Mineral Spring Avenue shortly after 4 a.m., the release said.

Palin was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men's Intake Service Center, according to the release.
