North Smithfield Woman Charged With Public Assistance Fraud: Police
The North Smithfield woman was also charged with the fraudulent use of food stamps, police said.
NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI β A North Smithfield woman was charged with fraudulently obtaining public assistance, police said.
Pamela Artruc, 47, was also charged with fraudulent use of food stamps, making a false statement to obtain a replacement public assistance check, and giving a false document to an agent, employee or public official, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Artuc was arrested about 4 p.m. Friday, the release said.

Artuc was processed at state police headquarters, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a Third District Court Date, according to police.
