Pawtucket Man Wanted On Assault With Firearm Charge Apprehended: Cops

PAWTUCKET, RI — A Cranston man wanted on a charge of assault with a firearm and conspiracy was apprehended, police said.

Keishon McCants, 28, was arrested about 5:30 a.m. Thursday on a warrant out of the Pawtucket Police Department, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

McCants was arrested by the state police Violent Fugitive Task Force, according to the release.

"The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force," the release said. "Mr. McCants was taken into custody without incident and was turned over to members of Pawtucket Police Department."
