Holy Angels Parish in Barrington is planning a summer celebration, being held on June 18 at its "Summertime Splash" Take-Out Thursday.
All are welcome to order from this charity food sale, which offers a sun-sational carryout menu with delicious and modestly-priced options:
SEA BREEZE CLAM COMBO (New England "stuffie" and clam chowder): chopped ocean clams, diced onions and celery in a deliciously seasoned ground chourico bread stuffing baked on a half shell; served with a pint of creamy New England chowder and side of oyster crackers... $10
BURGER PUFF FLIP FLOPS: prime ground beef, crumbled bacon, sauteed onions, and shredded cheddar mixed with just the right balance of ketchup, yellow mustard and sweet relish, then stuffed into two personal-size puff pastry pockets; served with golden-baked tater tots and a sweet, creamy dipping sauce... $18
SUN DAZE LASAGNA DINNER: tender baked Italian noodle sheets layered with an irresistible blend of meaty ground beef and sausage, traditional pasta sauce, whole milk ricotta, grated parmesan and mozzarella; served with a Caesar side salad and sliced, fresh-baked Italian bread... $20 (meatless lasagna available)
