West Warwick Man Charged With Fraudulently Obtaining More Than $10K In Property: Cops

The West Warwick man was investigated state troopers, police said.

WEST WARWICK, RI — A West Warwick man fraudulently obtained more than $10,000 worth of property, police said.

Claudio Liranzo, 53, was arrested about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of obtaining more than $10,000 worth of property by false pretense, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

"The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and the West Warwick Police Department subsequently locating Liranzo," the release said.

"The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment," according to the release.
