Coastal Organization of Human Resources Announces 2026 Employment Law Conference

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Coastal Organization of Human Resources will host its 2026 Employment Law Conference on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club, located at 9000 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.

The full-day conference will bring together employment law professionals, business owners, managers, and HR leaders for practical guidance on protecting employees, strengthening organizations, and navigating real-world workplace scenarios. The conference is especially valuable in a market where many small and mid-sized businesses may not have a dedicated HR department but still face important employment law, compliance, workforce, and leadership challenges.

The conference theme, “Protect Your People, Protect Your Business,” reflects COHR’s focus on helping both HR professionals and business owners stay informed, compliant, and prepared for today’s evolving employment law environment. Attendees will receive timely updates and practical information they can apply directly in their workplaces, whether they manage human resources full time or handle HR responsibilities as part of running a business.

Featured speakers include Reggie Belcher of Turner Padgett, who will provide a 2026 Employment Law Legal UpdateLucas Asper of Ogletree Deakins, who will address Managing Complex LeavesGeorge Reeves of Fisher Phillips, who will lead an Interactive Case Review; and Cynthia Yarbrough of Fisher Phillips, who will speak on HR and Immigration.

Registration is now open. The cost is $100 for COHR/SHRM members and $125 for non-members. Lunch is included. Scholarships are available.
