Patti Austin's career began the way few careers do: onstage at Harlem's Apollo Theater at age four, urged there by Dinah Washington herself. The daughter of jazz trombonist Gordon Austin, she was a teenage recording star by 1969, then one of New York's most in-demand session vocalists through the 1970s, heard behind Paul Simon, James Brown, and Diana Ross, before signing with her godfather Quincy Jones's Qwest label.

That partnership produced the GRAMMY-nominated hit "Baby Come To Me" with James Ingram and the Oscar-nominated "How Do You Keep the Music Playing?" Her own For Ella earned a GRAMMY nomination, and Avant Gershwin brought her a GRAMMY win. Two decades touring the Great American Songbook have taken her across the U.S., Europe, and Australia, and her 2023 follow-up, For Ella 2, earned another GRAMMY nomination.

City Winery Nashville welcomes Austin for two shows, a rare chance to hear a genuine link to the golden era of American song, wine in hand and dinner on the table.

Doors open ahead of showtime for both performances. Reserve your seats now for a living piece of American music history.
