Harvey: Beaumont Struggles Second Day Without Water
More evacuations from the hospital and rescues from homes as the rivers continue to rise.

Beleaguered residents of Beaumont lived a second day of irony on Friday as they continued to be surrounded by floodwaters while the city was still unable to provide drinking water. The plant was knocked offline in the early minutes of Thursday and workers have not yet been able to get the pumps working again.
The lack of drinking water has forced a second day of evacuations from Southern Baptist Hospital where dozens - mostly dialysis patients and babies from the neonatal intensive care unit had been ferried to safety by helicopter on Thursday.
Among those evacuated on Friday were two babies that had been born overnight.

Meanwhile, a Beaumont man suffering from quadriplegia and his family - who had been stranded in their home since Harvey made landfall on August 25 - were rescued by agents from the Customs and Border Patrol's Air and Marine Operations unit.
The man and his family were transported by Black Hawk helicopter to a hospital for evaluation.
Agents completed 14 other rescues on Friday alone and have, overall, rescued more than 443 residents of Beaumont since operations began last week.
Beaumont and nearby Port Arthur have been hit particularly hard and rescue operations were still underway on Friday.
