What the NWS refers to as an "unsettled pattern" will bring daily rain chances to North and Central Texas through the beginning of next week. However, not every area will see rain each day.

The severe weather threat is low, but a few stronger storms are possible. Those could bring heavy rain, gusty winds, small hail, and frequent lightning.

As a reminder, residents should make preparations before a thunderstorm, including remaining weather aware, signing up for notifications, creating a family communications plan, and preparing homes for hazards like damaging wind or large hail.

During the storm, continue to listen to local news or NOAA Weather Radio to stay updated. Go to a secure location during severe thunderstorm warnings. After the storm, assess the damage, contact family and friends, and help out any neighbors in need.
