Women's Quarter Marathon Returns March 8 to Benefit Women-Focused Nonprofits
Celebrate strength, community, and unity in honor of International Women's Day.

The Women’s Quarter Marathon, hosted by Houston Running Company (HRC), returns for its ninth year on Sunday, March 8. This inspiring event brings together women, families, and supporters to celebrate strength, community, and International Women’s Day. Proceeds support women-focused nonprofits in Houston, encouraging and empowering women and young girls through impactful community initiatives.
The Women’s Quarter Marathon features a 6.55-mile race, 5K, and Kids Mini-Quarter, along with a vibrant post-race celebration supported by local partners This year’s event will also showcase local businesses, artists, and community activities, creating a dynamic and empowering atmosphere in honor of International Women’s Day.
“This event is about more than running. It’s about connecting, uplifting, and celebrating the incredible achievements of women,” said Randi Schooley, HRC co-founder. “Every year, we see the power of our community come alive on race day, and it’s inspiring to witness how much stronger we are when we come together.”

Race Schedule
- Quarter Marathon and 5K: 7:30 a.m.
- Awards ceremony: 9 a.m.
- Kids Dash: 9:15 a.m.

All participants will receive an official T-shirt and finisher medal. Awards go to the top three overall female finishers, top three in the masters division (40+), and first-place winners in 10-year age groups.
Age group awards must be claimed at the awards tent between 9:30 and 10 a.m. on race day. Unclaimed awards are available for shipping at the participant’s expense.
