Demetria Martínez is a poet, writer, and immigrant rights activist whose work explores art, justice, and the U.S.-Mexico border. Her books include Poetry in Dangerous Times: Two Women, Two Worlds and the widely translated novel Mother Tongue. She is the recipient of an American Book Award, an International Latino Book Award, and a Luis Leal Award for Distinction in Chicano/Latino Literature.
Dr. Norma E. Cantú is an award-winning poet, author, scholar, and professor at Trinity University. Her creative work centers on the U.S.-Mexico border and includes Canícula, Cabañuelas, and Meditación Fronteriza. She has edited or coedited more than twelve anthologies.
