Harmony on the Green Coffeehouse

Harmony on the Green Coffeehouse Concerts is thrilled to kick off its 5th season with the terrific Ari Hest. Hest has crafted a unique path in music – independently building a loyal following through relentless college touring, then on to major label albums, and then reimagining listener engagement through fan-driven projects like “52” and his Patreon-powered “The Treehouse Project”.
A Grammy nominated singer/songwriter(best folk album, 2017) who began his career two decades ago, he’s performed both in the U.S. and abroad with artists like The Indigo Girls, Martin Sexton, Judy Collins and Suzanne Vega. Many of Ari’s songs have appeared on TV and film – The Path, The Lincoln Lawyer, Private Practice, Army Wives, and One Tree Hill to name a few.
Ari’s newest endeavor, The Treehouse Project, has him writing, recording and releasing a song on his Patreon every two weeks since early 2022. Based on the votes of his subscribers, he remixes the 10 favorite songs from each year and releases an album. The project is currently in its fourth year and is approaching 100 original songs.
Our concerts are still just $25 (plus ticketing fees) and have, as always, a "pay what you can" feature so that everyone can enjoy live music!

Reggie Harris makes a return visit to Harmony on the Green! Reggie appeared in our very first show, along with Alastair Moock. We're thrilled to bring him back for a solo show in this, our 5th season.

Reggie Harris is a singer-songwriter, storyteller and world-renowned song-leader who is a powerful interpreter of the global music narrative. A passionate, engaging inspirational entertainer and concert artist Reggie is recognized for focusing new energy on the important role of music in the discourse for inclusion and the struggle for human rights using the lessons of history as a base. As an expert on the music of the Underground Railroad and the Modern Civil Rights Movement he is at home on stage as performer, lecturer or leading discussion in seminars or in the classroom. Known for over 40 years as one-half of the eminently prominent duo, Kim &amp; Reggie Harris, Reggie continues to criss-cross the country, carrying the message of joy, unity, tolerance and peace through the powerful medium of live music. Reggie remains in high demand for concerts, schools, University residencies, community-building, festivals and teaching workshops.

Harmony on the Green Coffeehouse Concerts welcomes the critically acclaimed, and incredibly eclectic, Floyd's Row to our 5th season!
From traditional English music to early music to Dylan tunes, the eclectic Floyd's Row performs a unique concert drawing from English tradition to create a new sound that is all their own. Founded in 2012 in Oxford, UK by Chris Ferebee (mandolin, guitar &amp; cittern), Alistair Anderson (English concertina &amp; Northumbrian pipes), Andrew Arceci (viola da gamba &amp; double bass), Floyds Row has developed into a folk-classical collective, pulling from early, folk, and classical idioms. What began as an Oxford-based project has blossomed into a touring ensemble on notable stages across the UK and U.S., with a critically appreciated album that merges chamber elegance with folk resonance. The name "Floyds Row" comes from a historic street in Oxford that runs beside the Faculty of Music of the University of Oxford.

Floyd's Row to perform at Lexington's Harmony on the Green on March 13

&nbsp;Blending bluegrass, folk, and close three-part harmony, Rachel Sumner and Travelling Light pairs virtuosic musicianship with fearless storytelling, creating concerts that are as entertaining as they are thought-provoking.
Their songs wander through labor history, folklore, the American West, and the lives of women history has too often overlooked. Again and again, they hold the past up like a mirror, asking what it still has to teach us today.&nbsp;
They&nbsp; won the 2025 Telluride Bluegrass Band Contest, and Sumner is also a winner of the Kerrville New Folk Competition. She has performed at the Library of Congress, where five of her original songs are preserved in the American Folklife Center archives, and her songwriting has been recognized by the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
Touring nationally, Rachel Sumner &amp; Traveling Light has appeared everywhere from Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, and Earl Scruggs Music Festival to beloved listening rooms like Caffè Lena, Club Passim, and Sweetwater Music Hall. Whether on a festival stage or in a backyard house concert, the trio brings the same joyful musicianship, effortless chemistry, and spirit of discovery to every room. Audiences leave laughing, singing, and carrying the stories with them long after the drive home.

On Sunday, September 20th, Sudbury will host our third inaugural <a href="https://kids.pmc.org/sudbury" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride</a>.&nbsp;Our ride is a 1-mile loop that riders may enjoy as long as they would like. The one mile course is entirely paved and loops through the beautiful residential neighborhoods of historic Sudbury. Parents are welcome to ride with their children but it is not required. If a parent chooses to accompany their child on the bike, we ask that they register as volunteers.&nbsp;
Many kids choose to ride the loop 3-6-12 or even 15 times. We encourage riders to participate as long as they would like. We will have special badges for riders who accomplish 5-8-12 and 15 miles, too! Please indicate at registration an estimate of your rider's total distance (this will help us for event organization).&nbsp;There is also an enclosed parking lot loop all starting from Curtis Middle School in Sudbury, MA. (Adults may opt to register as volunteers if they would like to ride with the kids). Before the ride there will be music and bike decorating; during the ride and following there will be an Ice-Cream Truck, Food Truck, Coffee Truck, huge bouncy castle, lawn games, music and more. All registered riders will get a free ice cream from our friends at Trombetta’s Farm Ice Cream. Registration takes place from 8:30am-9:45am. The ride is from 10:00am-11:30am, and food and games will be available from 10:00am - 1:00pm.
“The Pan-Mass Challenge is a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Always held the first weekend in August, the PMC raises funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. Each summer, thousands of riders and volunteers from 43 states and 12 countries participate in the PMC, all with a common goal: to find a cure for cancer.
100 percent of all rider-raised funds go directly to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The PMC is Dana-Farber’s single largest supporter and is 62 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. Since 1980, the PMC has raised $972 million for Dana-Farber.”
The Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride empowers young participants to contribute to a meaningful cause while enjoying a fun activity. By offering multiple course options, every child will have the opportunity to participate and make a difference - regardless of age or ability. Each ride distance is carefully planned to be safe and enjoyable, with designated routes through historic Sudbury neighborhoods that are well-marked and closely monitored by volunteers. For the youngest participants, the tot lot loop provides a secure environment where kids can ride in a contained area - strollers, scooters, tricycles are ALL welcome!
Beyond the joy of bike riding, the Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride serves as a powerful educational experience for children, teaching them about the impact of collective efforts in fighting cancer. As they pedal for a purpose, they learn about empathy, community involvement, and the importance of supporting breakthroughs in treatment and cures at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This event not only raises crucial funds for cancer research but also instills valuable life lessons in the young riders; collectively we all pedal towards a more cancer-free future. As with all PMC rides, every penny donated goes directly to cancer treatment and research at Dana-Farber.
