Looking for a music project that was different from the&nbsp;typical band, this group of talented performers have collaborated to create a dynamic night of musical entertainment! They perform pop, rock, R&amp;B,&nbsp;’60s, ’70s,&nbsp;'80s, '90s, and current with tight harmonies and original arrangements that are fresh and exciting!&nbsp;This is one show you do not want to miss.

<h3>Event Description</h3>
The world is an especially tough place right now, and we all need a space where we can slow down, reflect, and connect. Join Regie Gibson, Inaugural Poet Laureate of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the award-winning global funk ensemble Atlas Soul for a passionate and poignant evening of storytelling, spoken-word poetry, music, and song.
This two-part performance will be a thoughtful, bluesy, funky, jazzy, and moving exploration of what it means to live, laugh, and love as a human being.
<h3>Regie Gibson</h3>

Whatever you think about poetry, Regie Gibson will make you rethink it. Named the Commonwealth’s first Poet Laureate, he doesn’t simply recite poetry—he performs it. He becomes it!Regie has lectured and performed widely throughout the U.S., Cuba, and Europe. Representing the United States in Italy, he competed for and received both the Absolute Poetry Award in Monfalcone and the Europa in Versi Award in Laglio, Lake Como.
An actor and multidisciplinary artist, Regie is the creator of The Shakespeare Time-Traveling Speakeasy, a theatrical literary concert exploring the life and works of William Shakespeare. He is also the Artistic Director of Arts for Social Cohesion, a social transformation organization that uses the arts and pedagogy to strengthen relationships within and between communities.
Regie serves on the boards of the New England Poetry Club, GrubStreet, and the Lexington Symphony, and teaches at Berklee College of Music and Clark University.
On May 30, 2025, Governor Maura Healey appointed Regie the Inaugural Poet Laureate of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Most recently, on July 4, Regie performed his poem “The Song of Massachusetts” with the Boston Pops at the Esplanade.
<h3>Atlas Soul</h3>
Atlas Soul is a multiple award-winning band performing original music that celebrates polyrhythms and melodies rooted in Afro-Mediterranean traditions, infused with organic deep funk, jazz, and intelligent hip-hop. Electrifying live performances and audience participation are their trademarks!
Atlas Soul has performed at scores of major venues and festivals, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the Kennedy Center, Festival International de Louisiane, the Boston Globe Jazz Festival, Joe’s Pub, Montreal’s Festival International Nuits d’Afrique, and more.

Whether you're running for a personal best or strolling with friends and family, every step you take helps support arts education, performances, exhibitions, scholarships, and community programs that make the arts accessible to all.
Your registration is more than race entry—it's an investment in creativity and community. You will automatically be set up as a FUNdraiser!&nbsp; It is not required to fundraise to join us but it makes it more FUN!
Proceeds from the event directly support the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fostering joy, belonging, and lifelong learning through the arts.

This festive fall tradition features a relatively flat 5K walk/run course with traffic-free roads and groomed gravel trails, making it enjoyable for participants of all ages and abilities. Little goblins and ghouls can join the excitement, too, in our 100-meter Wee Wicked Dash, held just before the start of the 5K.
Costumes are encouraged, holiday spirit is welcome, and every mile makes a difference!

On Sunday, September 20th, Sudbury will host our third inaugural <a href="https://kids.pmc.org/sudbury" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride</a>.&nbsp;Our ride is a 1-mile loop that riders may enjoy as long as they would like. The one mile course is entirely paved and loops through the beautiful residential neighborhoods of historic Sudbury. Parents are welcome to ride with their children but it is not required. If a parent chooses to accompany their child on the bike, we ask that they register as volunteers.&nbsp;
Many kids choose to ride the loop 3-6-12 or even 15 times. We encourage riders to participate as long as they would like. We will have special badges for riders who accomplish 5-8-12 and 15 miles, too! Please indicate at registration an estimate of your rider's total distance (this will help us for event organization).&nbsp;There is also an enclosed parking lot loop all starting from Curtis Middle School in Sudbury, MA. (Adults may opt to register as volunteers if they would like to ride with the kids). Before the ride there will be music and bike decorating; during the ride and following there will be an Ice-Cream Truck, Food Truck, Coffee Truck, huge bouncy castle, lawn games, music and more. All registered riders will get a free ice cream from our friends at Trombetta’s Farm Ice Cream. Registration takes place from 8:30am-9:45am. The ride is from 10:00am-11:30am, and food and games will be available from 10:00am - 1:00pm.
“The Pan-Mass Challenge is a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Always held the first weekend in August, the PMC raises funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. Each summer, thousands of riders and volunteers from 43 states and 12 countries participate in the PMC, all with a common goal: to find a cure for cancer.
100 percent of all rider-raised funds go directly to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The PMC is Dana-Farber’s single largest supporter and is 62 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. Since 1980, the PMC has raised $972 million for Dana-Farber.”
The Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride empowers young participants to contribute to a meaningful cause while enjoying a fun activity. By offering multiple course options, every child will have the opportunity to participate and make a difference - regardless of age or ability. Each ride distance is carefully planned to be safe and enjoyable, with designated routes through historic Sudbury neighborhoods that are well-marked and closely monitored by volunteers. For the youngest participants, the tot lot loop provides a secure environment where kids can ride in a contained area - strollers, scooters, tricycles are ALL welcome!
Beyond the joy of bike riding, the Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride serves as a powerful educational experience for children, teaching them about the impact of collective efforts in fighting cancer. As they pedal for a purpose, they learn about empathy, community involvement, and the importance of supporting breakthroughs in treatment and cures at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This event not only raises crucial funds for cancer research but also instills valuable life lessons in the young riders; collectively we all pedal towards a more cancer-free future. As with all PMC rides, every penny donated goes directly to cancer treatment and research at Dana-Farber.
