Robert Bruey to Perform at Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame on April 19th

The <a href="https://www.limusichalloffame.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame</a> (LIMEHOF) will host Filmmaking brothers Ryan Famulari and Anthony Famulari on April 24th at 7pm at LIMEHOF in Stony Brook (97 Main Street) as part of its Local Filmmaker Series. The two will screen their debut feature ‘<a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt32648157/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Best Man</a>’. The film screening will be followed by Q&amp;A moderated by LIMEHOF Vice Chairman Tom Needham. The event is free for members and $10 for non-members.About the Famulari Brothers
Ryan and Anthony are brothers who grew up in Stony Brook. They’ve been mortal enemies since Anthony came into the world and revoked Ryan’s coveted “only child” status. Despite this rivalry, they’ve vowed to put their differences aside and join forces for the good of mankind.
Ryan majored in Journalism and played quarterback for the Stony Brook University Seawolves football program. Anthony also studied Journalism at SBU, though outside the newsroom he opted for the theatre over the gridiron.
Upon graduation, Ryan received an MFA in Creative Writing from Stony Brook Southampton while Anthony began working as an actor in New York City. 
Both have since worked together as self-taught filmmakers. Relocating to Los Angeles, Ryan and Anthony have collaborated on a number of projects and are currently on their festival run with their debut feature film, BEST MAN. About Bob Westcott
Guitarist Bob Westcott is no stranger to Long Island audiences. His career began as a teenager playing guitar in the streets and basket houses of Greenwich Village, and, more auspiciously, as one of the very first members of the Wes Houston Band. Onetime owner of Folk City and famed Greenwich Village scene author Robbie Woliver has called Bob "the real deal", and for good reason: Bob has been perfecting his elegant finger-style guitar work many years. During the 60's, Bob played in the basket houses of Greenwich Village, then moved to Manchester, England to explore the British folk scene, then traveled throughout Canada and the US in the 70's, living in the Midwest, California and upstate New York before settling on eastern Long Island.
Bob has opened for several nationally-known performers, including John Hammond, Merle Haggard, Richie Havens, Tom Paxton, The Nields, and most recently, Richard Shindell. He is much in demand as a session player, showcasing his breathtaking skill as a fingerpicker and multi-instrumentalist.

and 2nd at 7:30pm at LIMEHOF in Stony Brook (97 Main Street). The original event was so popular it sold out quickly, prompting the band to set up a second show. Musician Kerry Kearney, from Breezy Point, Queens, is a LIMEHOF Long Island Sound Award (L.I.S.A) winner. He promises an anniversary gala filled with lots of old friends and some new ones sharing music and stories throughout the years. The show will start at 8:30PM and be preceded by a cocktail hour with free refreshments. About Kerry Kearney
Kerry Kearney (pronounced "Car-Nee"), a slide guitar master, plays and works his instrument to limits that amaze even the most seasoned musician or cultured music fan. The sounds Kerry creates from his vintage, stock and custom made guitars are as unique as his song writing and original melodies. Kerry was voted "Best Guitarist of 1999" by the LI Voice and “Bluesman of the Year 2004” by the LI Blues Society. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Long Island Sound Award (L.I.S.A.) from the LI Music Hall of Fame and most recently, in 2013, he and his band mates were each inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame. He has toured nationally and internationally with the Allman Brothers Band and Dickey Betts, and has performed with such contemporaries as Sonny Landreth and Robert Randolf. Kerry and his band have shared the stage with the great BB King at the NYCB Westbury Theater and at the Paramount Theater in Huntington, NY, as well as Robert Cray with the Blind Boys of Alabama and The Blues Brothers starring Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi. 
 
Kerry Kearney’s style, music from the “Psychedelta”, is his own brand containing an upbeat mix of American Blues &amp; Roots, created from writing and performing on the circuit for over 40 years. Along with his band, he has continued to experience an overwhelming and positive response over the airwaves and especially when performing live. His wailing upbeat style of blues, driven by tasty, inspired guitar riffs, electrifying slide and infectious rhythms, has allowed Kerry to amass a huge loyal following.

TAKE 2 features Candice Baranello and James O’Malley, two talented artists who have each been part of the acoustic music scene for a number of years. 
Candice Baranello is a founding member of the acclaimed traditional folk trio, the Mountain Maidens, and is known for her powerful, expressive voice. She plays multiple instruments including the ukulele, banjo, guitar, and dulcimer.
James O'Malley is a singer-songwriter whose music has been played on radio stations across the country. He has a smooth tenor voice and a subtle, intricate guitar style, having learned fingerpicking early in his career from Erik Darling of The Weavers.

About Buddy Merriam &amp; Back Roads
Celebrating 43 years Buddy Merriam &amp; Back Roads, are one of the North East’s longest performing bluegrass bands. They have released 7 CD’s and Buddy has produced 2 books of his original mandolin compositions. Over the years the group has entertained at the Grand Ole Opry, World of Bluegrass for the IBMA in Owensboro &amp; Louisville KY and Nashville TN. BM&amp;BR have played at most of the large bluegrass festivals in the NE and 2 tours of Ireland, Scotland &amp; England. Buddy is the long time host of the popular Blue Grass Time radio program on WUSB 90.1fm every Wed. 6-8 pm since 1991.
Buddy is a founding member of the 501 (c)(3). Mandolin Heritage Association and currently working on a 200 tune transcription/video project that is the beginning of an Archive of his music. He is a proud recipient of a Long Island Sound Award from the L.I. Music &amp; Entertainment Hall of Fame.
