Milford Open Mic returns to Stonebridge Restaurant for another night of live music, creativity, community, and great food.
September is a special one. Along with our regular open mic, we are coming together again to support the Downtown Purple Pantry Box at Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church in Downtown Milford.
Whether you are picking up your guitar for the first time, sharing a poem, trying out a new song, or you have performed for years, Milford Open Mic is a place to get up, share what you do, and be supported by a room full of people who genuinely want to see you succeed.
All music. All people. All summer.
Special Night, Downtown Purple Pantry Box Food Drive
A special thank you to Jessie May for connecting us again with the Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church in Downtown Milford.
This month, we are helping stock their public Purple Pantry Box, a community resource built around a simple idea:
Take what you need, donate what you can.
Bring a few shelf stable food or personal care items with you to Milford Open Mic and help us fill the pantry for people in our community who may need a little extra support.
Shelf Stable Items to Donate
• Boxed and canned pasta • Tomato sauce • Canned tuna or other protein • Shelf stable milk • Bottled water • Protein shakes and bars • Canned fruit, vegetables, and beans • Peanut butter • Soup • Cereal • Nuts and snack packs, including chips, trail mix, and granola bars • Toilet paper • Hygiene items
Even one or two items can make a difference.
Purple Pantry Raffle Bonus
We are adding a little extra fun for everyone who helps support the pantry.
For every two pantry items you bring, you will receive one additional raffle ticket.
Everyone receives one raffle ticket just for showing up, and if you wear your Milford Open Mic T shirt, you will receive another ticket.
Bring some food, support the community, and give yourself a few extra chances in the raffle.
Our main raffle drawing takes place at approximately 8:30 PM, and you must be present to win.
Want to Perform?
We have 10 advance early-bird performance slots available online available at 9 AM on Aug. 18th at <a href="https://www.milfordopenmic.com" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">milfordopenmic.com</a> .
If you do not get one of the early slots, do not worry. Come to Stonebridge early to claim one of our five in-person spots, first come first serve available beginning at 5 PM.
Each performer receives two songs or up to ten minutes, helping us keep the night moving and giving as many people as possible a chance to participate.
What to Expect
Milford Open Mic is more than musicians taking turns at a microphone.
You might hear acoustic music, original songs, covers, poetry, storytelling, comedy, spoken word, or something completely unexpected.
The goal is a lively, fast moving evening where performers get a real audience and the audience gets to discover talented people from right here in the community.
You do not have to perform to be part of Milford Open Mic. Come for dinner, bring some pantry donations, grab a raffle ticket, support the performers, and enjoy the night.
Family Friendly and Supportive
We want Milford Open Mic to remain welcoming to people of different ages and backgrounds.
Performances should remain family friendly and respectful so everyone can feel comfortable participating.
This is not about being perfect. It is about having the courage to get up, share something, and connect with people.

Supporting the restaurant while you are there also helps us continue creating nights where local music and community can come together.

Join us Tuesday, September 29 from 6–8 PM at Milford Med Spa, 99 Cherry Street in Milford&nbsp;for an open, informative and judgment-free conversation about a part of health that isn't always easy to discuss.

The evening will explore:
<ul><li>How hormones influence sexual health, desire, energy and well-being</li><li>Perimenopause, menopause and the changes that can come with them</li><li>Men's hormone health and changes that can occur with age</li><li>Why desire can change and why it doesn't look the same for everyone</li><li>The connection between physical health, medications, stress and sexual wellness</li><li>Intimacy and communication as individuals and relationships evolve</li><li>When changes may warrant a conversation with a healthcare provider</li><li>How pleasure, confidence and connection can continue to evolve throughout adulthood</li></ul>

The 35th
Annual Folks on Spokes &amp; Step Forward Ride + Walk event is planned for Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 8:00 am to 2 pm at Fowler Field in downtown Milford. 
As one of Connecticut’s longest running charitable events, cyclists and walkers come together to raise funds and awareness for mental health and addiction recovery in support of Bridges Healthcare’s services. Participants of all ages can enjoy the scenic Milford coastline by riding 5, 10, 20, or 40 mile routes or walking a 5K. This family-friendly event includes activities for kids, music, lunch, event t-shirts, and a special remembrance ceremony to honor lives lost to suicide and overdose.
Early registration discounts are available through August 31, 2026. From September 1-October 1, 2026 advanced registration fees are $50 per cyclist, $35 per walker, $15 for kids under 18. Children 6 and under are free.
