With Oktoberfest season right around the corner, we harnessed our German roots to celebrate the return of our much-anticipated&nbsp;FESTBIER&nbsp;(in cans and on draught). And to add to the FESTivities, the Pizza Trolley will be featuring&nbsp;BAVARIAN SOFT PRETZELS&nbsp;to pair perfectly with&nbsp;Festbier. Join us all weekend for these exciting activities:
FRIDAY 8/28:&nbsp;It all kicks off at 4pm with the&nbsp;First Taste of Festbier&nbsp;with draught and cans (to go) + Manor Hill Pizza Trolley
SATURDAY 8/29:&nbsp;Festbier Release continues&nbsp;at noon with draught and cans (to go), Live Music from Rock Creek Revival&nbsp;from 2-5pm + Manor Hill Pizza Trolley 
SUNDAY 8/30:&nbsp;Festbier Release continues&nbsp;at noon with draught and cans (to go), Live Music from Dan Bregman&nbsp;from 2-5pm + Manor Hill Pizza Trolley
About the Beer: For this annual release, we combine German Pilsen, Vienna, and Munich malts to brew traditional take on a classic style. This Vienna Lager (5.5% ABV) offers a rich, bready maltiness and just a hint of toast, all balanced by restrained and deliberate noble hop additions. A clean, crisp finish makes this lager ideal for enjoying on an equally beautiful late summer or fall day. Prost! 
The Farm &amp; Taproom&nbsp;are open Friday (4-9pm), Saturday (12-7pm), and Sunday (12-7pm)&nbsp;with 14 taps featuring farm-brewed beers, hard seltzer, and non-alcoholic hop water, plus multiple options in cans available to go. All seating on the Farm is first come, first served.&nbsp; We have indoor seating, a large covered tent, and plenty of outdoor space to spread out. There are several picnic tables in our field, but we also encourage you to bring your own chairs or even a portable (10×10) pop-up tent for shade and find your new favorite spot with friends.

On Friday, August 28th, get ready for a first-of-its-kind event!&nbsp; Let's harvest some hearty laughs in the (air conditioned) Barn at Manor Hill Brewing for a stand-up comedy show hosted by&nbsp;Megan Miller… also Featuring DMV Comedians&nbsp;Monica Daily&nbsp;and&nbsp;Cerrome Russell.
Farm opens at 4pm. Doors to the barn open at 5:30pm, show is at 6:30pm. Presale tickets are $20.00 ($25.00 at the Barn door) and seats are limited.&nbsp; Tickets available at&nbsp;tinyurl.com/farmingforlaughs26
Please note there is a two drink minimum at the bar in the Barn. Food is available for purchase at the Pizza Trolley and can be brought into the Barn during the show. You are also welcome to grab a drink before the show in the Taproom if you arrive before doors open at 5:30.

For September&nbsp;FIRST FRIDAY, our popular European Series continues with&nbsp;Munich Dunkel&nbsp;(Munich-Style Dark Lager, 5%)! It’s deliciously approachable and brings all the fall vibes.&nbsp; Available&nbsp;in cans and on draught&nbsp;at the Farm beginning September 4th at 4pm.&nbsp; Plus, we will have live music from&nbsp;Chris Montcalmo.&nbsp; Making his Manor Hill debut from 5-8pm in the Courtyard! 
More About the Beer: In German, “dunkel” means dark… so our take on a Munich Dunkel Lager naturally uses a grist of nearly 100% German dark Munich malt, with a dash of chocolate malt. The result is a deep amber colored dark lager exhibiting aromas of toasted breads and roasted plums, layered with subtle notes of chocolate and toffee. Using traditional German hops that bring just enough bitterness for balance, we’ve allowed the malt to shine while maintaining a barely dry, crisp finish. PROST!!

The Farm and Taproom will be open from 12-7pm on Saturday September 12.&nbsp; And from 12-4pm we are following up our successful&nbsp;Books &amp; Beers in the Barn&nbsp;with the fall edition brought to you by Backwater Books!&nbsp; Adults and children can browse the vast selection of new books, fun gifts, stationery, and more as we transform our Private Event Barn into a family-friendly bookstore (with adult and children books).&nbsp; Adults can enjoy a farm brewed beer (or seltzer) from the Private Bar while they shop.
Backwater Books is an independent bookstore in Old Ellicott City (neighbors of Manor Hill Tavern). Started by former teachers Alli and Matt Krist in 2022, Backwater Books carries a variety of titles for young and old. We look forward to having them back on the farm!
Mady’s Squeeze&nbsp;will be on site with their one-of-a-kind homemade dirty sodas and lemonades.
