Kiddie Academy of Elmhurst will host Hero Play Day on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. for infants to 12-year-olds. Families are invited to attend this free community event designed to help children recognize and celebrate their personal heroes.
The new hands-on event will be an opportunity for children to dress up as their favorite superhero and participate in “training” stations set up around the Academy, including obstacle courses, strength tests and kindness missions.

FREE 6-Week A Cappella Singing Course
Have you always wanted to sing? Discover your voice with the award-winning Choral-Aires Chorus!
Join us Mondays, September 21 through November 2, 2026 (no class October 26), from 6:45-8:00 p.m. at 800 S. Rohlwing Rd., Unit C, Addison, IL (inside Journey Church; no affiliation).
No music-reading experience is required. Participants receive free vocal instruction, sheet music, learning tracks, handouts, and expert coaching in a fun, supportive environment.
The course concludes with an optional performance alongside the Choral-Aires Chorus at their Fall Show on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
