To usher in the merry month of May St John's in the Village host its annual May Morning Madrigals and Buffet Breakfast10am Friday 1 MayEnter through the Horsewalk at 222 West 11th&nbsp;Street Madrigals are 16th&nbsp;and early 17th&nbsp;century secular songs. They will be sung from a rooftop by members of Greenwich Village Chamber Singers. Champagne breakfast then follows in the courtyard garden. Free. Henrietta Hudson

Calling all sapphics, trans people, and anyone who loves drag, burlesque, or a fun night out! THE D WORD is Henrietta Hudson’s monthly drag and burlesque revue featuring an all-trans, dyke, and/or sapphic cast. We’re celebrating all things queer here, and all are welcome!&nbsp;
Attendees can expect to see high-energy dance numbers, show-stopping ballads, comedy, and everything in between — complete with games (with prizes) and (of course!) delicious drinks (with non-alcoholic options available)!
THE D WORD is hosted by Pacha and features the gorgeous and talented Julius Nicoy, Mariquita, Reina NoBuena, and Se7en.
Shows start at 9:30pm, but feel free to come earlier — the bar opens at 6pm and our official “door time” is 9pm. So come early, settle in, and stay late! And best of all — there’s no cover! We ask for a pay-what-you-can donation at the door (with a suggested range of $0-$25+) to help pay our FABULOUS performers but no one will be turned away for lack of funds and it is not a requirement for entry or to watch the show.

Marble Collegiate Church

Joan Lunden, award-winning journalist, bestselling author and longtime host of ABC’s “Good Morning America,” will kick off “Inspired Conversations With…” Marble Collegiate Church’s new series featuring notable thought leaders on Thursday, April 30, 6 p.m. in the historic Sanctuary at 1 W. 29th Street in New York City.
Lunden will share stories from her newest book, Joan: Life Beyond the Script, during a memorable evening to be moderated by Faye Wattleton, longtime Marble member, former president of Planned Parenthood, author, speaker and a leading voice in protecting women’s rights. 
In Lunden’s memoir, she discusses breaking barriers in broadcast journalism, redefining motherhood and courageously sharing her breast cancer journey to advocate for women’s health and caregiving. Her story is one of resilience, reinvention and living boldly at every stage of life. Following this conversation, Lunden will sign her book, which is included in the $25 in-person admission.
