Gale Walker founded Children of the Rainbow, Inc. as a creativity-based, state of the art child care company. She did so to address the chronic need in her community for affordable child care while providing a safe and enriching environment. Her facilities are especially unique because they are located in San Diego's oldest, most culturally diverse and economically disadvantaged areas- Logan Heights, Stockton and Grant Hill neighborhoods. Ms. Walker and Children of the Rainbow have received numerous awards for excellence over the past decade in business and community service in these areas.
