For anyone interested in planting native plants to support a diverse and healthy planet this film from Homegrown National Park and The Caterpillar Lab will fascinate and inspire. The 60-minute film will be of interest to adults and children eight and up.

With woodlands, a rain garden, stream restoration, meadow and more than 95 species of native trees, shrubs, flowers, grasses, and permaculture fruits and vegetables, it’s a great opportunity to get ideas for your own piece of the Homegrown National Park!

Sophia Stef Gallery

LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. — Sophia Stef Gallery is inviting artists to participate in the inaugural One Day, One Work, an annual juried exhibition celebrating the creative possibilities of a single day. The exhibition will be on view August 8 through September 12, 2026, at Sophia Stef Gallery on the third floor of The People's Store in Lambertville.
Designed as both a creative challenge and an exhibition opportunity, One Day, One Work asks artists to conceive and complete an original artwork within a single calendar day. The exhibition encourages participants to embrace spontaneity, intuition, and creative presence, shifting the focus away from perfection and toward the experience of making. Whether inspired by a landscape, a conversation, a memory, or the quiet details of everyday life, artists are invited to create work that reflects a genuine response to their surroundings.
Original two- and three-dimensional artwork in all media, excluding photography, is eligible for submission. Artists of all experience levels are encouraged to apply, from emerging creatives to established professionals.
Artists may submit up to three original works for a $40 flat submission fee. Selected artists will receive 70% commission on all artwork sold during the exhibition.
All submitted works must be conceived and completed within a single calendar day. There are no size restrictions. The submission deadline is Monday, July 20, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
The exhibition will be juried by Sophia Stefanowski, founder and curator of Sophia Stef Gallery. Since opening the gallery in 2025, Stefanowski has organized a growing series of exhibitions featuring artists from across the region and beyond, establishing the gallery as a welcoming destination for contemporary art in the Delaware River Valley.
In addition to the juried exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite artwork throughout the run of the show. First, Second, and Third Place Awards will be announced during the Closing Reception on September 12.
The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, August 8, from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring live music by Jameson Cooper, light refreshments, and an opportunity to meet participating artists.
