Avril Media Group, LLC is a strategic communications company specializing in consulting, public relations and marketing. Our boutique firm focuses on content development, branding, email marketing and social media for measurable results.

Avril Media Group is founded by Heather Zises, a media professional with over 20 years of experience in public relations and marketing. Throughout her career Heather provided media strategies for estate sale companies, law firms, politicians, film companies, television programs, musicians, and visual artists to help them achieve a greater presence both on and offline to generate business.

Heather is an accomplished editor and writer with focuses in digital content development and social media strategy. Her multi award-winning book, 50 Contemporary Women Artists (Schiffer 2018), is available at leading art institutions and university libraries. Heather is the Marketing Director at The Magnusson Group where she executes digital communications strategies, increases brand awareness, and manages social media campaigns for estate sales and online auctions. She is also a Founding Member of Ninth Street Collective, where she brings her extensive knowledge of marketing and public relations to artists. Additionally, Heather regularly moderates industry panels and guest lectures at museums and universities. She began her career at Pace Gallery and Phillips, where she curated numerous exhibitions and site-specific installations at galleries, art fairs and alternative spaces worldwide.

In 2022, Heather was featured in Marquis Who’s Who for excellence in Public Relations, Media, and The Arts. In 2021, Heather became a Professional Member of The Woman’s Club of Upper Montclair where the Club immediately appointed her the new Editor-in-Chief of their monthly newsletter.

Raised in Boston as a ballerina, Heather graduated from Cornell University with a BA in English and Dance and has an MA in Art History and Connoisseurship from Christie’s Education.
