Free Admission on Friday, September 18:&nbsp;9 a.m. to noon, and 5-8 p.m.
Half Price Day, Free Admission, Saturday, September 19:&nbsp;10 a.m.-2 p.m.
This event is a major fundraiser for the Somerset County 4-H Association and features gently-used clothing, costume jewelry, housewares, cooking utensils, tools, toys, seasonal décor, and much more 
Hungry? A variety of food trucks will be available on site.

If it is time to clean out your garage or declutter your home, donations for the sale may be dropped off at the rear of the building on:

Monday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 15:&nbsp;9 a.m.-noon, and 6-8 p.m.
Please note: 4-H will not accept tires, plumbing, old electronics, mattresses, large pieces of furniture, bed frames, paint, or any broken or hazardous items.

Half Price Day — Somerset County 4-H Association Rummage Sale

Families are invited to the Somerset County 4-H Open House on Thursday, September 24, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Ted Blum 4-H Center, 310 Milltown Road, Bridgewater, to learn about all that 4-H has to offer. The 4-H Youth Development Program is offered through the Cooperative Extension System of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It is one of the oldest and largest youth organizations in America, with 6 million members. 4-H is open to any child from K-13 (one year out of high school). Young people may select from a broad menu of local 4‑H programs developed by educators that offer hands-on, learn-by-doing, opportunities in agriculture, STEM, health, civic engagement and the arts.
The Open House features representatives from the almost 80 clubs available in Somerset County through Rutgers Cooperative Extension. There is also information on both short- and long-term volunteer opportunities for adults.

4-H Prep, also known as Cloverbuds, is open to grades K-3 and offers a mix of activities. Traditional 4-H clubs, for grades 4-13, focus on a particular project area. A few of the projects currently offered in Somerset County are robotics, food &amp; nutrition, beekeeping, gardening, rabbits, sewing, poultry, model trains, twirling, remote control cars, archery and more.Somerset County 4-H also has a Seeing Eye Puppy program. In a unique partnership with The Seeing Eye based in Morristown, N.J., 4-H’ers are provided with potential service dog puppies. With the help of family, trained volunteers and their club, 4-H members raise and socialize the pups and provide basic training. The dogs are then returned to The Seeing Eye at 14-16 months of age to continue their training to become Seeing Eye service dogs for the blind and visually impaired.&nbsp; For a list of 4-H clubs and to learn more, visit 4HisTOPS.org.

Youth ages 12-19 are invited to explore careers in animal science through a national one-hour webinar on Tuesday, September 29, 7-8 p.m.
Two noted speakers — Dr. Hannah Neil, DVM, MS, Large Animal Field Service, Rowan University and Dr. Michelle D’Alessandro, DVM, Belle Mead Animal Hospital in Hillsborough — will share insights and advice. Free and open to both 4-H and non-4-H members, but <a href="https://rutgers.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4TlBXBpBV8DkCz4" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">participants much register by September 28</a>.

Learn more about our rich local history with this program on the Great Swamp, the American Revolution, and the Bockover Brothers on Saturday, October 17, 2 to 3 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room.How does Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge factor in the history of the American Revolution along with the Bockoven family? The Bockoven brothers owned the land that is now the Great Swamp. These German immigrants enlisted and served in the American Revolution and lived amicably with the Lenape.

Hear ye, hear ye! Join the Somerset County 4-H Anime &amp; Manga Club as they host the second annual 4-H Medieval Jubilee on Sunday, October 25, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County in Bridgewater.
This fun event is open to all ages and features an artisans’ market, food, games, demos, interactive activities, a silent auction, and more!
Come in costume!
Admission is $10, children 5 and under are free.
