Coastal Wine & Spirits

In the months of May and June, Coastal W&amp;S joined forces with the Yuengling Brewery to help raise money for local Connecticut Veterans and their families through their “Lagers for Heroes” in store fundraising campaign, in which 100% of the donations raised goes directly to help local Veterans via a partnership with the CT VFW Foundation. The program ran May 6th – June 21st and through the generosity of its consumers, Coastal W&amp;S was able to successfully raise $1,106
On Thurs July 16th @ 12:30, staff &amp; leadership of Coastal W&amp;S will gather @ 103 N Main St Branford &amp; will be awarding a check for $1,106.00 to the CT VFW Foundation. Several CT VFW state officials, local post members, as well as sales team members from Star Distributors and the Yuengling Brewery will be on hand to celebrate this occasion. All are welcome to attend.

Lagers for Heroes is a program the Yuengling brewery has built to not only pay tribute to local Veterans but also help raise money and awareness through a partnership with the CT VFW Foundation through its in-store fundraising program. What’s unique about this campaign is that 100% of the proceeds stays here in Connecticut and help local Veterans &amp; their families in need of assistance.

The Downsize for Diversity program was originally started by the 501(c)(3) organization, the Lincoln METCO Coordinating Committee, in Lincoln, MA, and raised $170,000 from 2017 to 2022. This was invested in a policy-driven endowment fund and has earned over $50,000 in investment income.
Since moving to the Boston Bridges Initiative in 2023 Downsize for Diversity has netted over $137,000 in art sales.
