In 1929, famous New York stockbroker Bill Wilson crashed along with the stock market and becomes a hopeless drunk. Dr. Bob Smith, a surgeon from Akron Ohio, was also an alcoholic for 30 years, often going into the operating room under the influence. Told through an astonishing series of events leading up to that chance meeting that changed the world over a cup of coffee, BILL W. AND DR. BOB is a powerful, funny & profoundly inspirational true story detailing the events that led to the creation of Alcoholics Anonymous, as well as the story of their wives who founded Al-Anon. Written By Samuel Shem & Janet Surrey, Directed by Ronnie Marmo.
