Verason Studio is hosting a children's choir open house! We are a bilingual music instruction studio serving both children and adults from all cultural backgrounds. The open house class instruction will be in English, with approximately half of the repertoire in Chinese and half in English or other languages. Children of all language backgrounds and experience levels are welcome! Do you know a little one who likes to sing? 33 Years and Still Going Strong – The Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza Returns to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center September 17 – 20, 2026Oaks, PA – Mancuso Show Management is proud to present the 33rd annual Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza. The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center will host this spectacular event September 17 - September 20, 2026 featuring over 1000 works of textile art. Additionally, the festival offers vendors, hands on workshops, lectures, a fashion show and product demos. Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza is the center of it all for quilt, wearable and textile art! A highlight of this year’s event is a special exhibition by 7-time Tony Award-winning actor and playwright Harvey Fierstein. Best known for writing La Cage aux Folles and Kinky Boots and starring as Edna in Hairspray, Harvey has been making quilts for more than 30 years. During the COVID lockdown, his passion for quilting flourished, inspiring a remarkable collection of quilt art that the Extravaganza is thrilled to premiere. In addition, the festival will display over 30 special exhibitions from regional guilds such as the Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild, PieceMakers Quilters and the Sankofa Artisans, travelling quilt collections and the annual national judged competition. Once again Mancuso Show Management sponsored the juried exhibition, Celebration of Women: A Quilter’s Perspective with a portion of the entry fees going to A Woman’s Place (AWP), the only domestic violence community benefit organization in Bucks County, PA. Shopping is a must at the event Merchant’s Mall with a diverse assortment of vendors selling sewing machines, fabric, wool, clothing, notions and more. Attendees can sit in on, at no additional charge, several midday lectures and product demonstrations. Back by popular demand are Fashion Friday, an attendee-driven fashion show, and Sticker Saturday, where collecting stickers can earn you a prize. New this year, the Brandywine Rug Hooking Guild will offer rug hooking demonstrations throughout the event. Quilters and textile artists can also preregister for workshops taught by a nationally recognized faculty. This year’s event is sponsored by Major Sponsors: BERNINA/Hayes Sewing Machine Company, BERNINA Longarm/Domesticity, Brother/Byrne Sewing, Baby Lock/Hayes Sewing Machine Company, Janome/Pocono Sew &amp; Vac and Husqvarna Viking &amp; Pfaff/Sew ‘n Place. Open to the public, show tickets can be purchased on-site. General admission is $18 and includes re-admission for all days. Sunday only general admission is $16. Accompanied children under the age of 16 are admitted free. Discounted tickets for groups of 20 or more can be arranged by contacting our office at (215) 862-5828. The Extravaganza’s daily hours are Thursday through Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

<h3>Nick Lombardo &amp; the Decent OK</h3>
The Decent Ok is a Philadelphia-based indie rock band that packs an eclectic blend of rock, pop, and indie anthems to their setlist. Founded in the fall of 2019 by Philly public school teacher and songwriter Nick Lombardo, the band quickly grew into a powerhouse lineup featuring Josh Steingard on drums, Ethan Cain on bass, and James Gaffield on lead guitar. With five genre-bending releases under their belt — Never Been Better, Live at Light &amp; Sound Studio, Vol. II, Still Falling Down, and their latest, Live Animal — The Decent Ok has been making waves across the Philly music scene. Recorded at local studios like Miner Street Recordings, TedAudio, Light &amp; Sound Studio, and in their very own bedrooms, their songs have earned critical acclaim and a growing fanbase. The Decent Ok's sound has reached the USA from coast to coast, having songs recently featured on KEXP in Seattle and WXPN in Philadelphia.
<h3>Jackson Cole</h3>
A nominee for Best Songwriter in the 2023 Maryland Music Awards, Jackson is as much of a capable songwriter as he is a performer. Performing along the likes of National Acts like LA Guns, Great White, and Danger Danger, as well as sharing stages with Robin Thicke and Fantasia Barrino, he can make it happen.
With a trained, big, powerful, high-range voice that has great flexibility of style, he can sing in the range of people’s favorite singers in bands like AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, and Journey.&nbsp;
Stylistically, Jackson infuses soft pop-rock vibes, which are in the same ballpark as The Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty, and classic Ed Sheeran. He also incorporates stylings of classic rock that appeal to old-school music lovers everywhere. What you end up with is a wide spectrum of great eclectic songs and a feeling like you have discovered a multi-faceted recording artist like Beck or Prince. It’s safe to say the future is bright.
