Lawrence Fike Jr, Neighbor

Larry Fike is a full-time Joshua Tree resident who has taught courses in philosophy since 1989. He was a philosophy department chair from 2002-2006, but grew weary of central Washington and returned to his Southern California home. He is a philosophical generalist with wide-ranging interests from modern art and environmental ethics and ethical theory to critical thinking, philosophy of science, metaphysics, and ethics. He is now pursuing a credential as a philosophical counselor with the American Philosophical Practitioners Association. He studied at UCLA and Columbia University and can be found around town speaking or enjoying the contributions of his community members.
