<h2>Pack your pink, grab your besties, and head to the Historic Dunellen Theatre as The Actors Studio of New Jersey presents Mean Girls, The Musical, Live on Stage!</h2>The Actors Studio of New Jersey will bring Mean Girls, The Musical to the historic Dunellen Theatre this fall, with performances running September 11 through September 20, 2026. Based on the beloved 2004 film written by Tina Fey, the musical brings the Plastics, North Shore High School, and all the razor-sharp comedy of the Mean Girls universe to the live stage for a limited two-weekend engagement.
Performances are scheduled for Friday, September 11 at 8:00 PM (Opening Night); Saturday, September 12 at 8:00 PM; Sunday, September 13 at 2:00 PM; Friday, September 18 at 8:00 PM; Saturday, September 19 at 8:00 PM; and Sunday, September 20 at 2:00 PM (Closing Night). All performances take place at the Dunellen Theatre, 458 North Ave, Dunellen, NJ. ABOUT MEAN GIRLS, THE MUSICAL With a book by Tina Fey and music and lyrics by Jeff Richmond and Nell Benjamin, Mean Girls, The Musical is a sharp, hilarious, and surprisingly heartfelt story about surviving the social jungle of high school. Based on Fey's iconic 2004 film — itself inspired by Rosalind Wiseman's book Queen Bees and Wannabes — the musical premiered at Washington, D.C.'s National Theatre in October 2017 before opening on Broadway in 2018, where it went on to win the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical.

Packed with chart-topping songs, razor-sharp humor, and a message about the power of authenticity, Mean Girls, The Musical is a celebration of what happens when you stop trying to fit in and start owning who you are.
CAST Leading the company is Savannah Fouchi as Cady Heron, Madi Barnes as Regina George, Natalie Pace as Gretchen Wieners, Kaileigh Fiorillo as Karen Smith, Brooke Nagel as Janis Sarkisian, Dylan Godbey as Damian Hubbard, Scott Silagy as Aaron Samuels, Xavier Rosado as Kevin Gnapoor, and Kiley Rose Burke Perez as Ms. Norbury and Douglas McLaughlin as Mr. Duvall.
Rounding out the company are Cassie Espinoza, Katelyn Loss, Makayla LaBode, Megan Schmiedhauser, James Henri, Tyler Benson, and Marquise Neal.
CREATIVE &amp; PRODUCTION TEAM Mean Girls, The Musical is directed and choreographed by Michael Restaino, Artistic Director of The Actors Studio of New Jersey, with music direction by Alex Birchwale and associate choreography by Coldin Grundmeyer. Heather Welsh serves as Associate Director and Chandy Bennett as Intimacy Director.
The production team includes James Russo as Production Manager and Lighting Designer, Dan F. Sims as Company Manager, and Joey Palazzo as Stage Manager. The design team features Rob Delgado as Wig Designer, Michael Restaino as Costume Designer, Chuck Lid as Set Designer, and Scott Festa as Sound Engineer.
THE ACTORS STUDIO OF NEW JERSEY IN RESIDENCY AT THE DUNELLEN THEATRE Opened in 1921, the Dunellen Theatre is a historic Middlesex County landmark, originally built as a 500-seat movie house and now beautifully reimagined as a home for live entertainment. Located at 458 North Ave in Dunellen, NJ, the theatre serves as the residency home of The Actors Studio of New Jersey, bringing a full season of live, professional theater to the heart of the community.
Founded in May 2024, The Actors Studio of New Jersey is a professional nonprofit theater company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of theatrical innovation while maintaining accessibility and meaningful community engagement. Celebrate local art and community in Highland Park! This downtown street fair features a juried art show, local artists and makers, artisan vendors, shopping, live music and entertainment, food from local restaurants, children's activities, community organizations, and more. The festival attracts thousands of visitors from across the region for a day of local art, shopping, food, and live entertainment in downtown Highland Park.
Artists, crafters, food vendors, community organizations, and other businesses are invited to register to participate. Student artists are welcome. Juried artists will display and sell their work under tents along Raritan Avenue.
