<p>At Northern Virginia Family Services (NVFS), one of the region’s largest and most established human services nonprofits, we believe every child deserves to walk into the classroom on the first day of school feeling confident, prepared, and ready to learn. But for many local families, the excitement of a new school year is overshadowed by the financial stress of buying school supplies. By helping families meet this essential need, we can ease financial pressure and give students the tools they need to succeed from day one.</p>
<p>This summer, NVFS is bringing together individuals, businesses, and community partners from across Northern Virginia, to provide new backpacks and essential school supplies to more than 1,500 local students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Together, we're helping children feel prepared for the school year ahead while easing the financial burden on families working toward greater stability.</p>
<p>You can help families start the school year with confidence. Whether you donate, host a supply drive, or spread the word, every contribution helps equip students for success in the classroom, and strengthens families across our community.</p>

<p>Take a step toward better health and connect with others! This free, community-friendly walking program brings people together in a relaxed and supportive environment. Each gathering is simply a comfortable walk you can enjoy at your own pace. After our walk, all are welcome to stay and have coffee together.</p>
<p>Everyone is welcome, all ages, abilities, and fitness levels. Each session lasts about 45 minutes and is designed to help you move, breathe and enjoy meaningful conversation along the way. It’s a wonderful way to stay active, connect with neighbors and make new friends.</p>
<p>We meet on the second Thursday of every month at 9 a.m. Join us at Tysons Galleria. Meet in atrium near the escalators closest to Neiman Marcus on the ground floor.</p>
