Capital One Hall

Spooky season arrives at The Vault at Capital One Hall on October 9th with a double-feature evening of unscripted Halloween hilarity and noir-inspired suspense presented by Resonance Improv Alliance. The night begins with a showcase of three fantastic local improv teams delivering fun, Halloween-themed comedic sets.
Around 8:30 PM, the jazz music swells, the lights dim, and the suspense begins with the main event: "Dark & Stormy," a 45-minute improvised murder mystery. Drawing inspiration from classic film noir, this whodunit balances dramatic relationships with sharp, spontaneous comedy. The audience shapes the story by deciding exactly where the murder takes place and why the characters were gathered there. Not even the performers know who the actual killer is until the final reveal. Because every motive and clue is created on the spot, no two performances are ever the same.
It is a completely unique Friday night out in Tysons for true crime fans, theater lovers, and anyone looking for a highly entertaining evening. Tickets are available now for those ready to see if they can crack the case before the host does.

What do we do with biblical passages that have been used to justify discrimination, exclusion, or oppression? How do we distinguish between what Scripture says and what people have used Scripture to say?
Why do sincere people reach radically different conclusions from the same Scriptures—and what happens when those interpretations are used to determine who belongs, who holds power, and who is treated as less than equal?
Is the problem with these passages themselves, or with the ways we have interpreted and applied them?
Led by Pastor Daniel Park, October’s Taproom Theology will explore several historically difficult passages of Scripture—passages that have, at times, been used as weapons.
Together, we’ll consider how interpretation shapes our understanding of Scripture, how these texts have been used throughout history, and how we as Christians can respond faithfully today.
