Join us in a new men’s group at Grace Bible Chapel starting on September 15th from 6:30-8:30pm. We’ll meet every other Tuesday until Thanksgiving. We’ll be going through the Wild at Heart series by John Eldridge by watching a video and discussing together.
What’s the purpose of this group? As John Edlridge wrote in the introduction of Wild at Heart,
“Do we really need another (group) for men? Nope. We need something else. We need permission. Permission to live from the heart and not from the list of “should” and “ought to” that has left so many of us tired and bored.”
I have been reflecting on these two questions:
What makes you come alive?
What stirs your heart?
Matthew 4:20 says “At once they left their nets and followed him.”

This is a day for you to connect with the Lord. To exhale. To learn how to stop trying and let God come in and minister to your soul. Maybe you have been walking the same patterns your whole life and maybe you have carried hurts, trauma, or wounds from your past. Perhaps you have thought, “This is just the way I am.” It is time to ask the very question Jesus asked, “Do you want to be well?”
We believe now is the time. You will be well. The answer is Jesus.
We will have times of teaching, testimony, worship, and prayer. Hear from women who have been set free from so many burdens that were never theirs to carry alone. Be inspired by stories of redemption, freedom, and healing.
All women are welcome to attend. This is a free event.
Be encouraged. Be at peace. Be well.
Bring your lunch or there are many options close by to grab lunch on our mid-day break.
Coffee, drink, and light refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

Is your family looking for an alternative to Halloween?
Come join us on October 31st from 3-5 pm for the Kids Fall Party!
This event is geared towards Pre-k through Elementary aged children and their families.
We will have candy, a bounce house, crafts, and open gym play. If weather permits, we also have a large field to play in!
**Please be aware that the candy is individually wrapped but may contain common allergens.**
The Kids Fall Party is not a drop off event. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
No costumes please!

On Sunday, September 27th, we are hosting our 6th Annual Pet Adoption Day (from 11am-3pm) at our Elmwood Park Financial Center at 680 River Drive, Elmwood Park NJ. Five local rescue organizations will be bringing their adoptable pets to the Financial Center parking lot to find their fur-ever homes! There will also be refreshments, food and giveaways. Funds raised through this event help cover the many expenses involved in animal rescue, including:
<ul><li>Medical bills and emergency medical care</li><li>Transportation costs to bring animals from overcrowded and high-risk shelters to safety</li><li>Spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations</li><li>Medications and preventative care</li><li>Food and fresh water</li><li>Shelter and operational expenses, including heating, air conditioning, utilities, and daily maintenance</li><li>Supplies and enrichment</li><li>And the many unexpected expenses that arise when caring for animals in need</li></ul>
Rescue doesn't end when an animal leaves a shelter. It takes transportation, medical care, food, shelter, dedicated volunteers, fosters, and an entire community of supporters to get that animal from a difficult situation to a loving forever home.

Eleventh Hour Rescue is a primarily volunteer based, no-kill rescue that saves animals on Death Row from overcrowded high kill shelters, as well as taking in strays and owner surrenders before they go to the shelter. Eleventh Hour Rescue dogs and cats are cared for by our compassionate and dedicated team of volunteers and staff.
&nbsp;Whether in foster homes, our kennel, or adoption centers, each dog and cat receive a clean and safe living environment, fresh food and water, medical attention, and most importantly an abundance of love and care until they find their forever homes. We are dedicated to educating the community about the animal overpopulation problem and the importance of spaying and neutering, as well as microchipping. Our goal is to find the best forever home possible for all of our animals, no matter what breed, size, age, or medical need.
