La Jolla Historical Society

The La Jolla Historical Society continues its free Growing Together series with a family-friendly celebration of art and community in partnership with the Murals of La Jolla. Taking place Sunday, May 3 from 12–2 PM, the event invites families to explore La Jolla’s vibrant public art scene through a self-guided mini mural tour, complete with a downloadable map, scavenger hunt, music, and hands-on activities at each stop. Shaded stations will also feature mural highlights and additional information for those who want to keep exploring beyond the event.
The afternoon includes a hands-on workshop led by Kaori Fukuyama, as well as a separate collaborative mural where guests of all ages can contribute to a shared community artwork. Along with Murals of La Jolla, La Jolla Historical Society is also working with <a href="https://www.songs4smiles.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Songs4Smiles</a>, a student-run nonprofit of students from the San Diego Youth Symphony, to provide live music to eventgoers.
