Historian and healthcare activist Chuck Pennacchio sits down with host Pedro Rodriguez to discuss why the United States still lags the rest of the world on providing access to health care. Pennacchio discusses the origins of the one-payer health care systems in Germany and how those blueprints were considered for the US, championed during the FDR years. The conversation also turns to what are the options available now in the U.S. and what people, institutions and local governments can do to provide meaningful access to affordable, quality healthcare.Tune in on your smart phone or speaker at www.gtownradio.com
