He made his live performance debut at just eighteen years old at Rome’s iconic Colosseum, signaling the arrival of a remarkable new talent.Matteo first captured international attention in 2018 with “Fall On Me,” his acclaimed duet with his father featured in Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. The song has since amassed more than 400 million streams worldwide. Building on that success, he released his self-titled debut album, Matteo, in 2023 and has gone on to perform on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the 96th Academy Awards, the Sydney Opera House, and Madison Square Garden. In early 2026, he was crowned King of the Viña del Mar International Song Festival, further cementing his growing global profile.Released in September 2025 on Decca Records, Matteo’s second album, Falling in Love, represents a significant artistic evolution. Recorded at his home in Tuscany with renowned producer Martin Terefe, the album seamlessly blends his classical roots with a warm, contemporary sound. Matteo co-wrote every original song alongside an acclaimed group of collaborators, including Grammy Award winner Amy Wadge, Toby Gad, Iain Archer, and Johan Carlsson. Many of the songwriting sessions unfolded around shared meals at his Tuscan home, lending the album a deeply personal and intimate character. The record concludes with Matteo’s heartfelt interpretation of “Caruso,” Lucio Dalla’s timeless masterpiece, which has become a defining moment of his live performances.Over the past several years, Matteo has steadily established himself as an artist in his own right, earning international acclaim through performances around the world and collaborations with artists such as Ed Sheeran. While honoring his family’s extraordinary musical legacy, he has remained committed to developing a voice, style, and repertoire that are uniquely his own. As Matteo reflects, “Being a Bocelli is both a privilege and a responsibility. I’ve never wanted to run from my father’s incredible legacy, but I do want people to hear my voice, my emotions, and my version of love.”His live show moves effortlessly between soaring ballads and uplifting contemporary songs, performed in both English and Italian. Throughout the evening, Matteo transitions seamlessly between frontman, pianist, and guitarist, showcasing both his versatility and natural stage presence. Accompanied by his touring band and select orchestral musicians, he creates a sound that is at once intimate and cinematic. Drawing primarily from Falling in Love while celebrating the songs audiences have come to cherish, the performance offers an unforgettable evening with one of today’s most compelling young artists. Matteo Bocelli is effortlessly bridging timeless romance with modern sophistication.

Life’s twists and turns can lift that soul high into the sky or send it crashing to the ground below. Unfortunately, 2023 started with the latter for Will Downing, following the unexpected and soul-crushing loss of daughter Aron Siobhan Downing in January. As a father, he was devastated… heartbroken. As an artist, he sought solace and comfort through his craft, facing the hurt head-on and exploring multiple themes of love to begin the healing. Persevering through the pain, The Prince of Sophisticated Soul has shared his 7- song masterclass in triumph over tragedy, Soul Rising!Celebrating an insane 35 years in the “bizness” and 27 Albums to his credit Will Downing will not be stopped! Flexing on his international appeal, the lead single “What Part of My Love” shot to the top of the UK Soul Chart Top 30 and parked there. Those who no longer listen to new releases as the collective work it was intended to be, should make an exception in this case. Although not a “concept” album, the pieces of Soul Rising fit together beautifully as a single statement and should be enjoyed as such. We all know the about the smoothness, but there’s a brand-new kind of… dare I say… “Funkiness”, that I think is here to stay! You (and your speakers, headphones, etc.) will feel the difference right off the jump, with the lead-off cut, “Closer to Me”, when that bass and drum starts hitting a little differently. The familiar writing and production tandem of Downing and guitarist Randy Bowland, turn the heat up a bit from their usual formula. With keyboardist Mike Logan Sr. and background vocalist Ms. Monet rounding out the groove, I dare you not to move somethin’!House of Love, another Downing/Bowland collab, gives me “Maze” vibes, however unintended, but that’s never a bad thing! To the extent over the last 4 decades, these two surviving entities may have directly or indirectly influenced each other, I’ll welcome that musical baby into the fold every time with open arms and ears.Make no mistake, Will Downing didn’t forget the “smooth” that made the Man, the Myth, the Legend! Nor did he abandon his world-famous knack for what he affectionately calls “interpretations” of classic hits. He plucked an absolute diamond of a gem from arguably one of the finest early 70’s albums, The Stylistics’ Round Two, and their hauntingly enchanting, “You’re As Right As Rain”! If you’ve ever “slow-dragged” with a blue light in the basement, you will be transported to afros, platforms, bell-bottoms and Brut cologne… if you know you know, but I digress. In addition to assists from long-time collaborator Ronnie Foster, Downing recruits the sweet trumpet of solo Artist and one half of 90’s duo Imprompt2, Johnny Britt to seal vibe.Soul Rising then takes a solemn turn to the heart and very “Soul” of this release. Downing, maybe for his own well-being, had to stare his tragedy down squarely and turn art into therapy. “Till We Meet Again”, serves as a father’s sweet hand-off to God to care for his angel Siobhan, until they’re joined again divinely as father and daughter in heavenly reward. An unimaginable undertaking for a parent attempting to channel pain into art. The song is introduced by the actual last New Year’s Day last voicemail exchanged by Downing and Siobhan, which contain no hint of the drama to unfold just 10 days later. Downing makes the song a true family affair, with daughter Aja and wife Audrey Wheeler Downing lending their supportive voices. A passionately moving albeit gut-wrenching tribute, but well done.Given that dynamic, it’s understandable that the final three tracks all lean into a theme of “Love”. Starting with the aforementioned smash, “What Part of My Love”, but pivoting back to that new “funk” vibe with “Love You Right”, this time with Hubert Eaves IV joining the revival. An intentional sequence I would think, to lift and restore the spirit of Soul Rising!I think the final cut, “Love of A Lifetime”, as a message, speaks simultaneously of what we seek in both a personal relationship and the love of a father to a child. Maybe that wasn’t the intent, but given the circumstances, I heard both. Love is love!Family… Will Downing dug deep for this one. Even down to the Album cover a original piece of artwork by Frank Morrison. Realize, recognize and appreciate a real man, a real artist and a real father with his Soul Rising!

The Philadelphia-based group consists of six veteran musicians intent on delivering Led Zeppelin live, like you’ve never heard before. Utilizing the multi-instrumentalists at their disposal, GTLO re-create the songs in all their depth and glory with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin themselves never performed. When you hear three guitars on the album…GTLO delivers three guitarists on stage. No wigs or fake English accents, GTLO brings what the audience wants…a high energy Zeppelin concert with an honest, heart-thumping intensity.Dubbed by the media as “The American Led Zeppelin,” Get The Led Out offers a strong focus on the early years. They also touch on the deeper cuts that were seldom, if ever heard in concert. GTLO also include a special “acoustic set” with Zep favorites such as “Tangerine” and “Hey Hey What Can I Do.”GTLO has amassed a strong national touring history, having performed at major club and PAC venues across the country. GTLO’s approach to their performance of this hallowed catalog is not unlike a classical performance. “Led Zeppelin are sort of the classical composers of the rock era,” says lead vocalist Paul Sinclair. “I believe 100 years from now they will be looked at as the Bach or Beethoven of our time. As cliché as it sounds, their music is timeless.”A GTLO concert mimics the “light and shade” that are the embodiment of “The Mighty Zep.” Whether it’s the passion and fury with which they deliver the blues-soaked, groove-driven rock anthems, it’s their attention to detail and nuance that makes a Get The Led Out performance a truly awe-inspiring event!

Their music was characterized by a fusion of Beatlesque pop, classical arrangements, and futuristic iconography.Mik Kaminski joined the band in 1973 with his legendary blue violin. The classic lineup of ELO solidified in 1974 with the addition of bassist/singer Kelly Groucutt and orchestrator Lou Clark, who augmented the band’s unique orchestral rock sound with his inventive classical arrangements. Mik, Lou, and Kelly played their way onto an astonishing library of hit records that sold more than 50 million copies. The albums include Eldorado, Face the Music, A New World Record, Out of the Blue, Discovery and Xanadu. After the original line-up of ELO broke up in 1986, drummer Bev Bevan created ELO Part II in 1988 with English guitarist Pete Haycock, American keyboardist and songwriter Eric Troyer, and ELO former members Kaminski, Clark, Groucutt, and cellist Hugh McDowell. The band later recruited English guitarist Phil Bates to fill out the lineup. Groucutt, Bates, and Troyer were all accomplished lead and harmony singers which provided an abundance of vocal riches that pushed the band’s classic sound into fresh sonic territory. Phil Bates left ELO Part II in 1998 and was replaced by American singer, songwriter, and guitarist Parthenon Huxley. In late 1999 drummer Bevan retired and was replaced with American drummer Gordon Townsend. The band began touring as THE ORCHESTRA in 2000. The new lineup released a brilliant album called No Rewind. The album features original songs by Kaminski, Troyer, Huxley, and Groucutt, as well as a stunning interpretation of “Twist and Shout.”Nine years later in 2009, THE ORCHESTRA bassist and congenial front man, Kelly Groucutt, suddenly passed away the day after performing a concert with the group in Berlin, which was a devastating shock to the band and to class rock fans around the world. His boyhood home features a plaque honoring Kelly’s accomplishments with ELO. THE ORCHESTRA recruited occasional ELO Part II member and former Styx bassist, guitarist, songwriter, and singer Glen Burtnik to fill Kelly’s spot center stage. While Lou Clark’s multi-talented son, Louis Clark Jr., worked with ELO Part II in the 90s, he became a permanent band member with THE ORCHESTRA in 2011. The father and son team lived the dream of performing together onstage around the world until 2021 when Louis Clark Sr. passed away. Louis Jr. now carries on in his late father’s role as orchestral keyboardist and symphonic conductor, along with the occasional romp on cello and guitar. These days multi-instrumentalist Cliff Hillis joins the band on select shows and brings an extra layer of vocals, guitar, and sometimes bass to THE ORCHESTRA’s dynamic sound. In 2024, the documentary No Rewind: The Orchestra Starring ELO Former Members was released, providing rare behind-the-scenes band footage, stories of life on the road, and performances of each song from the album No Rewind. Edited together in a music video style, the film is a fast-moving reveal of how this iconic band has earned its place in rock and roll history.Over the years the members of THE ORCHESTRA have played ELO’s greatest hits to millions of fans in over fifty countries.

Garden State Film Festival and Asbury Shorts USA Present an Evening of Award-Winning Films from Around the World, Including Work by Local Camden County Filmmakers and Students
COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — Asbury Shorts USA, now in its 44th year, and the Garden State Film Festival will once again bring an evening of award-winning short films from around the world to the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
Presented in association with the Camden County Board of Commissioners, this year’s “Best of the Fest” program will feature an eclectic collection of outstanding short films from filmmakers around the world, including works with strong local connections to Camden County.
Joining the evening will be Camden County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. and Commissioner Colleen Bianco Bezich, as the program celebrates independent filmmaking, international storytelling and the creative talent emerging from South Jersey.
Among the locally connected films featured in this year’s program is Terroir, filmed at Amalthea Cellars in Atco, which follows a young wine critic who returns to a French vineyard one year after delivering a bad review.
The program will also feature Outside the Lines, a documentary chronicling the Winslow Township Girls Track Team. The film was created by students through Studio 106, Winslow Township High School’s television production and media program, placing the work of young South Jersey filmmakers on the same big screen as award-winning shorts from around the world.
Eric Ascalon, Chair of the Garden State Film Festival Board, said, “There’s something magical about seeing a great short film with an audience—the entire world can change in ten or fifteen minutes. This event brings some of the best short films from around the world to one of South Jersey’s great venues, and we’re incredibly excited to bring it back for another year.”
Kerry Richards, South Jersey Film Cooperative coordinator, remarked, “We are so proud to be bringing back this important event.”
The Scottish Rite Auditorium is located at 315 White Horse Pike, Collingswood, NJ 08108. Tickets can be purchased at bit.ly/FilmFest26.

The Gloucester County Historical Society takes a look back at the ghost stories from the Civil War in a special presentation in its Museum hosted by Civil War reenactor Vince Dicicco from 7:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 15. He will detail the haunted sites, errie encounters, and tales of apparitions reported from buildings and sites across the grounds where the Battle of Gettysburg was fought.
Gettysburg is considered one of the most haunted places in the country, with numerous accounts of ghostly regiments, phantom horsemen, and mysterious faces appearing in photographs. Sites like Devil’s Den at Gettysburg, Bloody Lane at Antietam, Chickamauga, Sharpsburg, Shiloh, and Andersonville are well-known for reports of spectral soldiers wandering the grounds or reenacting historical battles.
Tourists and locals at Gettysburg have reported seeing apparitions, hearing the sounds of battle, and encountering unexplained phenomena around landmarks such as the Gettysburg Orphanage, Farnsworth House, and Soldier’s Orphanage cellar. Bloody Lane at Antietam has tales of ghostly singing, vanishing Confederate soldiers, phantom gunfire, and strange smells attributed to lingering spirits of fallen men.
Tickets available at $15/person. Tickets must be purchased in advance online.

Woodbury Friends Meetinghouse at 124 North Broad Street in Woodbury

In a presentation at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Woodbury Friends Meeting House, historian Patrick Ward will recount the local Revolutionary War campaigns of British General Charles Cornwallis, one of Great Britain’s most aggressive and capable senior field commanders during the American Revolution. Cornwallis’ later maneuvers in the South ultimately culminated in his surrender at Yorktown, the final battle of the war, in 1781.
Cosponsored by the Gloucester County Historical Society and the Woodbury Friends Meeting, the event is open to the public and admission is free.
Ward is a Southern New Jersey historian whose interest focuses on Gloucester City, the Delaware River, and the region’s Revolutionary War history. Cosponsored by the Gloucester County Historical Society and the Friends Meeting, the event is free and open to the public.
Titled “British General Lord Cornwallis Marches to Woodbury and Gloucester County in November 1777,” Ward’s PowerPoint presentation will include maps from the period, information about the military units that participated, personal accounts from those on the march, and details about how the Americans responded to Cornwallis’ forces.
On Oct. 22, 1777, Hessian forces failed to capture Fort Mercer at Red Bank. By holding the fort, American troops disrupted efforts to resupply the British Army in Philadelphia by way of the Royal Navy and other supply vessels on the Delaware River.
General Sir William Howe, commander in chief of the British land forces, responded by organizing a larger expedition against Fort Mercer. He placed General Lord Cornwallis in command of the attacking force.
On Nov. 17, 1777, a combined force of British and Hessian troops landed south of Fort Billingsport, New Jersey, and began marching north through Gloucester County. Additional British troops from New York City landed at Fort Billingsport under the command of General Thomas Wilson.
Cornwallis assumed command of the combined force, estimated at 4,900 troops, and led it north toward Fort Mercer at Red Bank. Their objective was to eliminate the last remaining American threat to British shipping on the Delaware River.
Ward’s presentation will include an opportunity for informal discussion with the audience.
Free parking available on Hunter Street in the Gloucester County Historical Society lot and the large County Justice Complex Parking Garage. https://bit.ly/woodbury-free-parking
